Summer is a time of abundance and fullness. The long light evenings, the hedgerows thick with growth, the sense that everything has hit its stride. It's celebrated across cultures as a high point of the year: the ancient Celtic festival of Litha marks the summer solstice and Scandinavian Midsommar is one of the biggest celebrations of the year. There's a quality of brightness and expansiveness to midsummer that feels full of possibility, but it can also tip into overwhelm and a feeling we ‘should have’ done more.

The Summer Reset with Nature retreat will combine mindful nature connection with creative reflection, giving you space to step back from the endless to-do list and reconnect with what's really important to you. We'll use gentle forest bathing practices to help you shift into a calmer, more creative state of mind, and reflect on the first half of the year and explore what you want to give your energy to in the months ahead.

Through nature-inspired creative activities and guided reflection, you'll have time to consider what matters most and think about where you want to direct your attention as the year turns towards autumn. With the year midway through, it's a natural moment to take stock: what's going well and worth celebrating, what's draining you, and what you'd like to tend more carefully before the year is out.

This reset is particularly suited to freelancers, micro business owners, and people working in social enterprises, startups, and small charities or activist groups (though it's open to everyone). I've spoken to many people from these groups who talk about being on the 'hamster wheel' of constant doing and how hard it is to take time and space to step back, reflect and dream. Midsummer, when the pace feels relentless and the year is racing by, is a great moment for exactly that.

The venue is Brunts Barn in the beautiful Peak District, with gorgeous woodlands right on the doorstep.

Payment: Tickets are offered on a sliding scale, so you can choose the price that honestly reflects your current situation. Suggested contributions below:

£95 standard rate, for businesses, large charities, and established freelancers whose work is ticking along well.

£50 supported rate, for small charities/ social enterprises working with limited budgets, and freelancers in the earlier stages of building their practice

£10 solidarity rate, a limited number of places for people from unfunded grassroots or activist groups.
